Focus Ireland Sleep Out 2024

Great fundraising effort and enthusiasm from the team of volunteers in DBFL last Friday night, as they took part in the Focus Ireland Shine a Light Sleep-out, raising awareness and much needed funds for Focus Ireland, the national organisation tackling homelessness in Ireland.

Friday evening started with a series of speeches from those who work for Focus Ireland explaining the challenges they face, but also an inspiring speech from a chap who has been through their programme and out the other side and is part of the team helping others now.

Whilst there was hope of some Northern Lights during the evening, all that came was a clear sky and a cold breeze which gave our team only a small insight into how bad homelessness can be.
